What would you choose to put in to an exhibition with no theme, no limits?
Be part of an instant, interactive art show: bring along something you have created that can be hung on a hook or can sit on a plinth. PopUp-ShowUp is a chance for members to create a collective exhibition which will hang for the two following weekends.
Maybe it’s old or just made yesterday: stitched, painted, woven, grown, drawn, written, carved, knitted … your choice.
This is a bit of fun, you don’t need to be an artist.
Creativity is for everyone. This may be your first exhibition or your 20th. All are welcome!
Timing
Sat 1 Feb 4pm – 7pm – Arrive with your Creation, Sign Up or Re-new your NAH membership. hand your creation over to our team, have a drink and a bite to eat, enjoy the fun Hub vibes.
Exhibition open to the public: Sun 2, and Sat 8 & Sun 9 Feb, 10am-4pm.
Sunday 9 Feb 4pm – 6pm: Exhibition closes; collect your creation (if unsold)
How can you be involved?
Bring your creative offering to the Hub between 4pm-7pm (earlier is best).
Have a chat with our Hanging team and hand over your creative piece. (Ensure your name is on the back for ease at pick up)
If you don’t have your own label, no worries, head to the Labelling room to fill one out.
Find your work on display and add your label next to it.
Grab a bevvy, wander round, enjoy the convivial chaos and the art!
Don’t worry we’ll have plenty of volunteers to help hang/display your work. Part of the fun is all coming together in organised chaos to create an instant exhibition…who knows what it will be!!
We’d love it if your work was ready to hang or be placed on a plinth (most plinths are 400mm W x 400mm D x 800mm H)
What does Ready to Hang mean?
For paintings, drawings, prints or photography (and everything in between) D-rings, wires or hooks (We have a hanging system with wire droppers to attach to the back of your work)
BYO coat-hanger (for wearable art)
Please put your name on the back of your work (or underneath for 3D work)
Either bring a label or make one on the spot – we can provide you with one to fill in on the day. It will be something like this…

Can I sell my work?
Yes, if you want to, go for it! The Hub takes a 20% commission.
If you don’t wish to sell your work just put NFS on your label.
The Exhibition
We are excited to show the wider community the wonderful creativity of our Members. The exhibition is on show over two weekends – 2 and 8 & 9 February 10am–4pm.
Let everyone know, take photos, share on all your socials.
Collecting Work
Please collect your work between 4pm – 6pm on Sunday 25 Feb. We will have volunteers there to help out.
The Nitty Gritty
Please note, NAH insurance may not cover work exhibited. If you are bringing the crown jewels you may like to arrange your own insurance !
We will do our best to hang everything brought in. 1 art piece per Member
