Experimenting with oils in the great outdoors!

3 Sundays in November

Join Mark Dober for this three-part workshop on Sundays 10, 17 & 24 November from 10am-2pm.

Each session will be in a different landscape location close to Newstead.

Mark will demonstrate in oils on canvas, showing you step by step how to proceed with each painting.

Learn about composition, building the painting in stages, hand/eye coordination, awareness of positive and negative shapes, using colour structurally and expressively, and strategies to deal with the changing light.

You get to complete a painting each session.

A materials list will be sent to you after booking. An easel will be required and you may wish to bring a folding stool or chair.

The workshop will end with a show and tell and wrap up of everyone’s work. Suitable for all levels of experience.

3 Sundays: 10, 17, 24 November.
