The Opening of Newstead Arts Hub’s Winter Program

BYO chair, rug, marshmallow

Blackboard opens at 5pm

Come and toast your toes

Celebrate the winter solstice with an evening of Fire Stories. Bring some marshmallows and your winter woollies as we dive into local stories and folklore alike.

We kick off with a special reading by author Leni Shilton, then it’s over to YOU! Bring your favourite stories – myth, legend and local. True stories or perhaps a little stretched! Songs, words, poetry all welcome.

Don’t forget your favourite chair, a thermos or other warmers, snacks, family, friends, and a rug.

Snuggle up with friends and neighbours around a toasty warm fire.

There will be mulled wine and soups with homemade bread rolls available to buy.

All WELCOME – no tickets needed just come and enjoy the community spirit.

Get there at 5pm to put your name in the blackboard. Come along and warm yourself by the fire!
