Finding healing and joy in art
10am – 4pm
17 – 25 October 2026
All welcome
This exhibition expresses my love of nature, colour and shiny things. As a disabled person, I needed to rise above my pain and take hold of joy. I found that Art brings me the joy I need. I never wanted to stay in the dark places of my life. I collected things that sparkled and things that were soft and beautiful. I love high mountains, light on the water and the light shining through trees. I took photographs and found textiles and leaves, lace, braid and bark and stored them in ever growing collections. I grew flowers in my garden and fed the wild birds. From this chaotic collection I saw the ever repeating patterns of life, light and joy. I have brought some of my collections together in this photographic, mixed media and collage exhibition to share my gratitude for the roses in my garden and the light in my life.
