Be part of the conversation
Newstead Arts Hub is keen to support local community conversations as we move towards the Referendum for Constitutional Recognition of Australia’s First Peoples that will be held later this year.
Together Yes, a community-based organisation, is inviting people from all walks of life to get together and talk about the referendum, to share their knowledge and ideas, ask questions and discuss how an Indigenous advisory body to parliament might make a real difference. Together Yes is creating resources to help people hold ‘kitchen table conversations’ – with friends, neighbours, at their sporting club or with their book group.
Newstead Arts Hub invites you to be part of a local conversation. Get involved:
- Be part of a facilitated Newstead Kitchen Table Conversation during August. Each Conversation is two sessions: Wed 9 August and Wed 30 August, 5.30-7pm, at the Newstead Arts Hub. Refreshments provided. Free. All welcome. Book here.
- Host your own Kitchen Table Conversation in your own home or if you prefer at the Newstead Arts Hub. Request your preferred date and time (August or September) by email to info@newsteadartshub.org and we will confirm your booking at the Hub by return email.
