Printing from Nature: a one day workshop
Sunday 1 March, 10am – 3pm
Nature printing is a way to capture the beauty and detail of natural specimens – feathers, grasses, leaves and more. Join Rhyll Plant – Castlemaine printmaker – for this one-day workshop at the Newstead Arts Hub on Sunday 1 March, 10am to 3pm.
Long before cameras, images from nature were captured by pressing an inked specimen on to paper. You’ll learn a range of techniques at this creative and engaging workshop and go home with your own beautiful nature prints.

Our 2020 Program – space for more events!
We’ve had a great response to our call-out for exhibitions, workshops, talks, community activities or events for the Newstead Arts Hub’s 2020 program. It’s great to be kicking off the year with such exciting events.
We have space for several more exhibitions during 2020, and there are plenty of opportunities for weekly classes or weekend workshops.
As a community-run space, we like to be able to respond to new ideas, and embrace the unexpected, so don’t hesitate to help us expand our horizons. The ‘platform dinner’ on 15 February (see above) is a great example!
So, even if you are at the ‘musing’ stage, try out your ideas with us – we’d love to hear them. Our door is always open. Start with our Expression of Interest form on our Bookings page and outline your ideas – and then let’s talk.
Friends of the Hub: Be part of the Newstead Arts Hub community!
Our Friends and volunteers are a key part of the Hub – we couldn’t do it without you!
It’s easy to become a Friend – join at any of our events with a donation of $20 or more, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a form.
Through donations, Hub Friends support the development of the Arts Hub. In return they are invited to a special annual Friends event each year.
